Been playing around with these speakers. They came from a Sony mini system (SMT-EP303) someone tossed out. The grilles were glued into place, which explains the wood fill to cover the holes. I just had to see what was in those boxes.
Surprisingly detailed speaker, little bass. I doubt the box they're in has been engineered for anything other than small size. No stuffing, either. The speakers themselves are about 4", nearly matching the FE103s dimensions. Magnet size isn't impressive. I'm thinking of trying a larger box or BIB. As I haven't spent anything on them, why not have a little cheap fun? ![]()
