Default beaming? with a large Full range with wizzer

Not sure if i understand the workings of a full range driver with a wizzer cone. Is it only the wizzer that makes the high freq. sound? If thats the case, small (4") or large (10" - 12") shouldn't beam any worse than a tweeter.
I have acoustat 2+2 speakers (tweeter = 16" wide X 8' tall) and I'm not altogether bothered by the beaming other than the small sweet spot.
Do larger full range speakers with a wizzer have a significantly reduced sweet spot compared to smaller FR speakers?
Thanks,
Paul
