Blue Planet Acoustic seems to be best EU source fore TB drivers
Anyway, the small 3" TB seems like a poor choice over 4" TB Though the 2" is interesting it should probably not be crossed low It could be good, but no doubt its far from the quality of the 4"Ti Just looked at BMM sitee to see, and Monacor have a new 8" underhung woofer that looks very like Tangbands own version Maybe theres more to come |

a little 3 way... how about the 3" coax W3-1723 with a woofer like the W4-1658 or the W5-876?
the W3-1285 3" Ti is very nice, and needs only very little volume, but needs a woofer for <250Hz, the bass output is very low, and also hits Xmax very quick. I tried it in the Needle, and with a small sub it sounded very sweet, without it lacked low end. the 2" I have tried in a FAST with the W5-876, very good value (it's only some 22 euro). I crossed over somewhere 500Hz TB also manufatures for others, e.g. the Extremis was made there. and now some of the Monacors are made there apparently |

Go for the one with more Xmax and without phase plug if you use them full range.

Hi,
TB develops a wide range of products and puts them on their website for all to see. It's then up to the distributors to decide what they want to offer and then products are built to order. Given the wide selection and the quantity requirements it's not unusual for many products to be unavailable in specific markets/countries. Bob |
