No, it's not going to be the most 'accurate' box ever done for the CHR. That wasn't why I did it -this is a deliberately characterful cabinet for use in modest rooms that should give some decent bass. Besides, if Feastex do something very similar for $19,000, no reason why we shouldn't have some fun too.

Scott I love this!! Can I have your permish to build some?

I was just going to build another pair of TABAQ's (I really like them that much) but this sings to me

Are there any further plans or documents I could have? I'm going to whip up a sketchup for this tonight.

By all means. That's what it's there for.

I hope it'll sing to you at any rate. They're not going to win any neutrality awards, that's for certain. Resonant pipes never do -opinion tends to be polarised; people either love them to bits, or loath them beyond all description. I suppose they're the speaker equivalent of 'ah, what the heck, let's have some fun.'

Funnily enough though, I suspect, if positioned & damped to suit the space they're in, they'll perform better than many people would believe. The Feastrex cabinets for e.g. got some positive comments, and these are basically quite similar.

Compact double BVR done (provisionally named Lotus) -like the above, it's intended for modest spaces / SPLs, but should be quite a nice cabinet. CAD plans will be on the way at some point in the near future when Dave has chance to draw them. This is the baby brother to a similar cabinet just completed (provisionally named Jaguar) for the Alpair10.

Lightbulb Hmmmm

Let me know when those plans are available Scott, a BVR interests me and with knowing these drivers have better bottom end than the FE126E I'd be very interested to see how these perform in a BVR. Keep us posted Scott, Peace.

Default Re: Hmmmm

Scott has loaded me up with those plans... i think getting these drivers moving is important, so they will bump up in the queue.

Dave's going to strangle me, as he wrote that before I sent another batch to him, including one for the Alpair6 that will probably see me certified (at last).

Novel to be sure (how often is something really novel). A cross between Mileva & Vampyr, looks like it could be an off-spring with teeth

Mark Audio seems to have really gotten Scott's mindJuice flowing.

I just noticed that these are on say for $55.00 a pair. The Alpair 10's are also on sale for $109 each, which seems like a good deal and they're spec'd to 40hz.
