Default Fonken Christmas

Merry Christmas to our Christian friends!
Happy Hanukah to our Jewish friends!
Joyous Solstice to our Druidic friends and fellow amateur astronomers!

My wife has dressed up the Fonkens for the holidays (see below.) The other one is sporting a nut cracker.

Just finished enjoying the Fonkens as we listened to a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, live from Kings College in Cambridge. Many thanks to the Brits for providing this and National Public Radio for broadcasting it!

If I’m just kidding myself about the full range driver experience, then I’m deliriously happy in my delusion. Note that I commit heresy by using a classic SS receiver and BSC!

Cheers, Jim

Jim, pace yourself to ensure you have a Fonken great New Years as well.

Thanks Chisb. Being old & decrepit, there's not much I can do except pace myself!

BTW: projects for 2009 are already planned: BB ply is in the garage & a pair of F120A's are tucked away in my office. I think I'll put them in a pair of Metronomes.

Cheers, Jim

Looks like a real nice build, Jim. The P10/Chrisby- Fonkens I've heard were definitely "keepers"!

If you like the 127s in the Fonkens, I'd imagine you'd love the F120As in the 'steens' , currently morphed into a floor stander.

I'll save everyone the effort and cop to my bias re the Fonken family, and of course the 'nomes would be a much simpler build, and certainly have their own aesthetic charm.
