I recently ordered a pair of these to build my first DIY speaker and so far the only enclosure I could find that was specifically made for this driver was the AG-250BS Angular Spiral from this site:
http://www3.ocn.ne.jp/~hanbei/eng-angular.html I am pretty sure I will be building this enclosure but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other design that was specifically made for this speaker. |

really the designs for the 206 are so many that i think you'll get a little confused.
just google it. this looking really interesting to me: http://www.humblehomemadehifi.com/Solo206.html one thing i can tell you is that i built the bg-250, i put inside it a pair of audionirvana super 8" thinking it could be quite the same, i was wrong... but certainly the enclosure does its job, and now i'm tring to tune it around the AN. one thing to consider is that on the site there is no proofed size for the rear aperture, or wheter or not put absorbent material, so you'll have to tune it anyway (i left the bottom with no glue, to trick the possible boomy, lucky was i, since the AN was not working at first) another thing to consider is that the fostex will need a long break-in period before giving any bass... another one is that it is a floorstander, but it's just 90cm tall, so check if it's ok for your listening position, otherwise i would go trough the frugal-horn site if you can manage their size... |
