I have my new FE126e Saburo's breaking in nicely and I am really impressed with the sound. There is even very nice bass there. So now.......I have these discontinued 6 inch FE164's in the closet that I haven't done anything with. Any reccomendations? Qts=0.31 Qms=4 Qes=0.34 VaS=32.2L. I think I have heard that these may be more suited to bass reflex rather than rear horn. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Howdy, I also have some FE164's and as luck would have it, they are said to work in cabs designed for the FE167E, of which there are dozens.

Hi Gio, nice!
Crazy question -- do you think it's worth trying to recalc a longer vent to get it to the floor, i.e., better boundary re-inforcement to reduce the need for a circuit? |

IIRC the FE164 was the original driver in Martin's ML-TQWT, the FE167 being the substitute when the 164 was discontinued.

What about the Half Chili's? Would the FE164's hold up?

G'day soundsinthestix,
These were specifically designed for the FE164. http://www.decware.com/newsite/cornerhorn.htm Cheers, Alex |
