Hi Dave can you help me with identifying these 6inch drivers, very small voice coil and Alnico slug but sound quite good and loud enough for most uses.

Yes, I bought it as such.
Was after more info if possible such a date of manufacture Fs etc Also worth keeping as treasure or just for fun, some of the Sonics range were very good speakers, others so-so, but I used it OB

National/Panasonic -- the shiny cloth dustcap and the "P-6..." (AES- is another) are the give-away.

I had those in '02. Like a lot of the chessy looking FR in its niche surprisingly good sound. Suited for use as a midtweeter in an OB. They'd probably fetch $10-15 on eBay, probably worth more as a bribe to some kid... mow my lawn and you can help me whip up a set of speakers for you (after you use them for EnABL practise)

I call anything used FR but cut-off below 100-300 Hz a mid-tweeter, (with a helper woof)

OK that use I understand, these go 250/300 --->> with a tweeter up the top from around 10K

And using high Q woofers
Whoops !! any follow up will be in Loudspeakers not FR
