Hello:
my SAT horns: Trumpet, Schalmei, Horn and Flute are made for Dolby Digital 5.1, you need best also a sub bass horn.

Like your designs. Interested to know more about the sub bass horns. How well do they integrate with the Visaton 200? Also, have you tried working with larger 12/15" drivers to build a double sub bass horn? Welcome input from any DIYers with experience in sub bass horns ;-) Like the idea of having passive sub bass as long as the cabinet is relatively compact. |

Happy Xmax,
a few studies: http://www.hm-moreart.de/100.htm http://www.hm-moreart.de/105.htm http://www.hm-moreart.de/98.htm http://www.hm-moreart.de/106.htm after testing two studies under feedback http://www.hm-moreart.de/108.htm TH only useful below 100 Hz, coloration by driver position. mass inertia of big basses are contra productiv to fast FR in sat horns. "about what": Why do I mostly use small bass speaker? The inertia of membrane mass slows the music signal, the smaller the volume level, in living room areas usual, the pronounced damped the moving mass of the diaphragm signal playback, the main reason for the lack of serious bass resolution of heavy weight bass membranes. B200 is useful in sat horns, TRUMPET, SCHALMEI, HORN i like it very much, no whizzer, for bass horns not useful because the high Qts.
