Default Dinosaurs to Life Again - RegencyIIIs

Recently I was given a pair of Electro Voice Regency III speakers. They are in very good shape concidering their age. All drivers work and the cabinets are solid but scrtched up.
They are loaded with 15w, T25A horn, and T35s. They also have volume controls for the horns. The crossovers are set at 3500and 800 Hz
I am torn between trying to revive them, reload the components in another box design, flog them. Ideas please.

Restore them & sell on to a fan would be my move.

Pictures of the inside?

Scott is probably right about the best way to get them to make the best sound.... they could probable finance a nice project.

Default Pics of iside

I had them apart and checked them out and they look to be in very good shape. It looks like they need re-edging and that is all. The greatest work would be in the refinishing and I have a shop and the skill to do that so no biggy. Should I do them original or walnut with a not so tacky cloth and loose the metal grill?
Does anyone have an idea about how good these might sound compared to somethig like a Klipsch?

Default Another interna pic

There seems to be a major abundance of realestate on the iside of these things. The rear wall is a flat surface with nothing to refract the sond toward the sides. The dampening material is rather thin but dense. I can image these drivers could perform better in a different box

For resale you want to keep them as close to original as possible,
