Andrew,
As you may have read I'm working on a high-end Lowther design, TP1-Isis or Opus 1 Lowther at the moment. Have you gotten anywhere with this? My internet is very slow on board, but I did find the following: http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTri...6/indexeng.htm It's probably old news, but might be worth a try, there's contact information there. Let me know, see you in Grand Cayman... Ron

Hi Ron,
No luck. I am familiar with the site and emailed Alessandro and Hi Fi Costruire with no response from either. The enclosure does however look very similar to the Schmacks horn for which I have several plans, all similar and some the same. I also have been thinking about a pair of Opus ones or TP1 Isis as you are, also leaning towards the Opus ones. I was contemplating asking John from Lowther America if he sells the plans by themselves so I could take a look at what is involved. I am not sure my woodworking skills are up to the task but then again a project like this would improve same, or make the hardware store a lot richer. I have been toying with the idea of trying a pair of Lowthers but unitl I decide upon an enclosure then would not know which drivers to purchase. I take it you are in my vicinity or will be at some time? Andrew

I thought you would be, but you never know... I was searching the site for more Lowther stuff and came across your post. I'm still stuck between Opus 1 and TP1-Isis because of a wall issue. Jon's been excellent in offering very detailed advice online as well as via private email. The "no-holds-barred" thread is still developing though, has a lot of info already, with new ideas coming along... I'll be back in Grand Cayman in October, Hugh Dean keeps telling me to look you up... Good luck and let me know if I can assist. I do a lot with wood, granite, marble, corian -work etc. and enjoy "shooting the breeze..." Ron

Yell when you get here. I know of a Ron who does woodwork who has a shop across from the location of the old Island Taste Restaurant, would that be you? Yell when you get here. Andrew
