Question JX92S with ENERGY tweeter (specs?)

hi

is it possible to utilized this tweeter for jx92s?

its a cheap way to get that extension like jim's design (hopefully..)

4Ω 60W 95db

thats all i know for the specs, may someone know more?

We'd have to know far more about it before we'd be able to suggest whether it'd be any good or not, let alone design an XO for it.

OTOH, if you're going to go with a JX92S, which is not exactly a cheap driver, methinks it's not going to be a good idea to try & skimp on any partnering components. You'd be better off saving for the other units if you can't afford them at present.

i see, thanks scott, because i saw in zaph's site the possbility to use a dome tweeter, well this one high sens like g2 also so, who knows

anyway this one i can get for $25 which much cheaper than g2

True. As a rule though, you tend to get what you pay for in this life; at least WRT hifi. There aren't many real shortcuts / bargins unfortunately, so it's usually more cost effective to take the long-term view. You should be able to use a dome fine, but again, go for a quality unit. The Jordan isn't an especially high sensitivity driver (quite low in fact as FR units go) so you don't have to restrict yourself to just those.
