You never find out how worthless your insurance is until you use it. Maybe DIY knees == a couple wheels to roll around on.

I count myself lucky I'm in Britain. We might complain something chronic about the NHS, but for all its myriad problems, at least it's there & you're not left to fend for yourself.

As for healthcare, I can only acclaim Scotts comment, - being in Scandinavia, or Norway to be more specific.
But then - the "socialdemocratic model" of the 50s, which laid the foundations for todays system throughout most of Europe, was always equal to something further east of us, for those further west of us....
To us locally - it's like day and night..
