I say a PA driver whose parameters and price meet my specifications. I want to use for home hi-fi use but there one factor which I am not so familar with.
Those which expertise in the construction of woofer please comment. The spec. for the driver made my P-Audio it says: Materials of construction ------------------------------- APS ferrite. Pressed steel chassis, Paper cone, Plasticised cloth(linen) cone edge. Solid composition paper dust cap, 2" round copper wire voice coil, Kapton former. The spec. is pretty std even with driver for HIFI use except for linen cone edge. Does this affect the sound of the cone? Any comments anyone? thanks. |
