Hi Guys,
I am thinking of putting these 2" x 3" speakers: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=264-830 in a stuffed U maybe 4" deep and mounting them about a foot down from the microphone on mic stands as monitors. Maybe add 4 ohms in series to raise the Qts a bit and allow them to handle more power. They would only reproduce guitar and voice. I am thinking that maybe the close proximity to the singer and the 88db sensitivity would allow them to be loud enough without pushing them into distortion. I haven't read about anyone else using these, but they look pretty good on paper with usable response for this app at 60% off-axis. Suggestions? |
