Hello.

I have decided to sell acoustics and to collect another. Heard Full Range (fe168ez-simply in a box) - I like it, it was pleasant , and has decided to collect, has looked a site http://frugal-horn.com/ and has decided to collect to itself Chili Chang, but me confuses that will turn out, it would not be desirable to throw out money for plywood and dynamics.
At me now http://www.assembly.nm.ru/audio/as/bat.html on Peerless and SEAS. I in them like a bass and that that they not (Phase the inverter), i.e. in them there is no rumble and an echo from a pipe, put anywhere and all Supper.

- What will turn out here when I shall collect on Full Range?
Tell me plz, Because in Ukraine have no information about them.
- And how the sound at FE168e and FE167 differs?

Sorry if my English is not well!

Thanks you!

Tell me...
- What Changs have been constructed?!
- How the sound differed?! (As a bass - What it was, and high?)
- And on what dynamics listened?!

Simply if to look on (http://homepage.mac.com/tlinespeakers/FH/images/ChiliChang-167FR.gif) Chili Chang and G Chang (http://homepage.mac.com/tlinespeakers/FH/images/Chang-FR-compare.gif) - there equal ачх, and at Iris 1v1(http://homepage.mac.com/tlinespeakers/FH/images/Iris-FR.gif) and Hiro(http://homepage.mac.com/tlinespeakers/FH/images/Hiro-FR.gif) series - there are gallop... How they in a sound are shown?

and what you tell about Fonken-1v01a-map.pdf build on F120A!?

Of the doubled boxes, Olivia, & the flat & curved front Chang boxes are the ones from that range that have been built as far as we know. A few examples of Iris & Hiro are around too. We haven't made any of them as yet though, so we can't tell you about the details of the sound & make comparisons, for obvious reasons...

Iris is an earlier BVR design. Hiro has completely different objectives. Has some more LF gain & notionally better driver control at high SPLs compared to the BVRs, at the price of more response ripple.

2 Scottmoose - I had in view of what at you is all the sizes long the project, on an example the sizes of steps in top and below the "step" + the sizes of a triangle which stands in a box on the middle behind?

One drawing has these sizes! (

- I want read you mind about that if it was!? Can you imagine and tell me?...

The triangle has no set size -that's up to the builder to decide. Providing it's longer than the depth of the vents, that's fine.

Re the steps, you can either use those, or a single angled panel, which would be my choice. If you want to use multple steps, it should be fairly easy to work out with the old ruler & a bit of basic school-level geometry how long each needs to be. If geometry isn't your thing, draw a diagonal line on the side-panel and mark off the 3/4in points, and that will show you exactly how long they have to be. The steps by nature aren't as precise, so don't get too worried about it.
