What do you drive your FR speakers with?

I've been browsing this forum for a year, and only recently become a member mainly because of my attraction to the full range driver. There's so much information it's amazing.

But after a recent sell off of most of my hifi, I'm in search of an amp (non-DIY) to drive my future DIY FR's using the FE206E. Problem is I can't commit to any single amp, so I want to know...

What are you guys using? I've searched and searched and there hasn't been a thread (that I could find) dedicated to the other part of the system, so I thought that maybe I would make one. Do you use FR's because you like them, or because other equipment make them necessary, or both? Let's hear it...what amp to drive what speaker?

I could just copy & post from this thread

but you'd likely want to know what other's suggest too.

Hemp Acoustics FR8's here, driven by a Tubelab Simple SE, single ended EL34 amp. They work well together.

I'm using a diy chip amp (LM3875, NI, 25k "passive" pre) to drive my Hemp Acoustics BIBs. When I get my TT and a couple of other things done, I'm thinking of some tubes. Either the SimpleSE, a scratch build (SE EL84? JELabs simple 2A3?), or the Bottlehead SEX. Those would be in addition to the chip amp, not replacements.

A Bottlehead SEX and an Inverted GC (or 2). One of Nelson Pass' projects is on the horizon...
