might be fun & challenge - -something to do- - you wnat to balance things -Karlson's 1st Acoustic Transducers patent gave his rules. Rising axial response might be helpful. sometimes there will be a coupled-cavity peak
the first few inches of aperture gap and flare affect its reverb and tonal balance - - small changes anywhere may affect tone but not RTA plots. test couplers should have removable wings. rear chamber lowpass chokes may be useful and are adjusted under music conditions with clean kickdrum and plucked upright bass passages short front shelf pieces rght above the driver can be used to divert some midrange from the upper half of the coupler - -this is empirical - an inch or so might be useful Kloss 126E ![]() Carl's first HAK with 208 sigma (I imagine later versions had slot extended to top ![]() "K10" size with beta 8cx rear volume ~ 1CF front ~0.5CF

They all look interesting to me. Kloss's Karlson looks like a class act! Subjectively, how does the 126e sound in the Karlson compared to a back horn? How is the upper midrange and treble different? I like how Kloss's design seems to show more of the driver and block it less.
