You can use most drivers in a horn, assuming it's properly designed. But without knowing Vas (one of the most important driver parameters, which they haven't bothered including on the data sheet) sizing it accutately might be a problem -you'd have to over-size it, and damp it down if necessary

Yes, you can design a horn easily enough for that.

Look into the BIB, there was a small discussion using that driver in a BIB, but was not going to fit the appplication after all. There are a few people still lurking around wanting to see the outcomes of a project using that driver. Greets!
FYI, when I reverse calc BL using the published Cms I get a Sd that's considerably larger than the driver (~22.78" effective piston diameter Vs a 17.3 cm published overall dia.) and a BL best suited to compression horn loading, yet the 90 dB sens is about right with the PE specs, so not sure what's going on. Calc'd based on Cms = 2.409 mm/N (published): dia = ~22.78 cm/8.9685" ------ o.d. of driver is only 17.3 cm, so the rest are suspect! Sd = ~407.55 cm^2 Mms = 265.3113 g BL = 27 Anyway, scaled some dims off the PE picture: effective outside dia. = ~13.1934 cm/5.1942" effective inside dia. = ~7.252 cm/2.855" calc'd: Sd = 136.711 cm^2 - 41.305 cm^2 = 95.406 cm^2 BL = 6.3226 N/A Cms = 4.3963E-04 mm/N Mms = 14.5169 g Sim of previously posted BIB: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/attac...amp=1186116360 TC's BIB optimized for the T6: L = 138" zdriver = 30" Sm = ~30.758"^2 (recommend ~4.687" W x 6.562" D) a-b-c = ~3.281" GM
