Enclosure design

i have these Dual speakers which are for car audio systems but i want to use them in my home. I wired up a car audio amplifier i just need help in building an enclosure for these speakers. I contacted the company for other specs but they were unable to give me the sufficient information.
Speaker size: 6.5 inches

* Cone material: Brushed metalized silver polypropylene cone
* Tweeters: 25mm midrange, 15mm tweeter
* Power handling, RMS: 50 watts
* Power handling, peak: 140 watts
* Frequency response: 50 Hz - 20 kHz

* Grille material: ABS framed metal mesh grill
* Mounting depth: 2.86 inches
* Cutout diameter: 5.64 inches

Hi,

Generally speaking car drivers work best on large open baffles
with added subwoofers. In a box the crossovers need modifying
and generally the bass driver parameters do not suit small boxes
or vented boxes, Qts is usually too high. A TL might work.

During my search around i found this Link An enclosure worked for these speakers... why would this guy use this setup instead of the baffles? what is TL?

ahhhhh sorry it took a while for TL to sink in.... Do you seriously think that would work better than a baffle? How would you go about designing a TL? The only sucky part about the drivers i want to use is that there are no parameters to go by.... is there a way around this?

If the open baffle will produce better sound than the TL how would i go about designing the open baffle part? Are there any considerations in building an open baffle?

I believe Martin has a program on his site avaliable.

Myself i just use a science calculator and a pencil and paper for simple calculations. Even still use a slide rule.

i would just sit down with a calculator and do it also but to my knowledge there are many different ways to build an open baffle and with every little variation the type of sound produced. I would use the program that martian has but the parameters needed aren't avaliable even through the company. thats the only pit fall so i was hoping there was a way around this
