You too Marc. Glad the employment situation is sorting itself out (I know the feeling, believe me).

Chris has the set with the drivers, i've got 2 pair of drivers on the bench. The milliFonkens have an extra layer on the bottom that won't be required in a regular build.

With everyone's feedback on the MJK baffle, i'm thinking that this little Fostex would be good in that project.

Thanx... Chris' handi-work, Chris tells a tale of not enuff F-clamps and a µFonken hidden in a mass of bar-clamps.

A couple cardboard mockups helped me get the proportions right.

I'd really like to compare these little Fostex to some of the big buck dome tweeters...

Default KimChi

I am really thinking of building KimChi.
I have got a question about the baffle. Why ist it set 2 inches back? are ther no bad reflections from the sides, if the baffle is not plain to the front?

No. It's there the integrate the output from both mouths, making a balanced wavefront, and to provide front-horn loading (yes, it's a compound horn).

Hi all,

Is there a performance advantage to having a curved front ?

Quite curious, I've got in some ply and was going to start on the Chili Chang to replace my giant BIBs in the next few weeks.

Is the KimChi a more advanced version of the Chili ? What differences would I expect to hear ? Is there a design goal beyond the visual ?

Thanks for that,

Sedge.

(I had a look through the thread but there really isn't a sonic comparison discussion)

Yep, focus delivery, etc, (a friend who listened commented that the timing was incredable) add EnABL and its an interesting combination.

Tis Christmas Day in Scarborough land and the Changs are singing,
The music drowns the carol squawkers door bell ringing.
Woops tis 2 o clock and aint the tinitus.
Its the police come to arrest us!

A marce christmas carol
