The 87 & its horn cabinet are rather nice. Very little bass, as you'd expect (it's only a 2in cone after all) but the rest is excellent.

The FE87 cabinet you show should be put on the floor to work best. I have not heard it before.

Do you want to put these speakers on the desk or on the floor in your office?

Do you want easy wood work or are you happy to do complicated and difficult wood work?

You might like the Zigmahornet with an FE103 if you want the speakers to stand on the floor. It is a little bit more expensive than the FE87 but the cabinets are easier to make and take very little space.

iv decided build a litle one!

after reading lots of stuffs, let me ask one thing:

i listen all kind of musics like jazz, blues, classic rock and indie rock...so what horn fits to me?

After reading some text on internet, i think the zigmahorns + fe103 fits well!

Ok. Hungarian is not so simple language

This is a new project. You can't find english review yet.

Drivers: HiVi B3s. These are emphatically lucky construction. It has 3 mm Xmax and very balanced midrange. Due to relatively low sensitivity it performs amazingly strong in an optimal quasi-conical horn. No needs electrical compensation.

Pepperhorn works with some other 3" drivers (e.g. Visaton frs8) but the optimal is B3S. Material: MDF 12 mm (0.5"). To achieve the lowest distortion important the conical cutout (expanding backwards).

Cutoff around 50 Hz, depending the placement. Nominal impedance 4 Ohms (due to drivers are parallel). SPL (1w, 1m): 85 dB.

Default franskaf....first horn

ok, one of the projects isn't a horn.

Also, what amplifier? what size room?

your budget is tight but with the BN3 drivers, pretty easy to do, but what about shipping? What is available in Brasil? Or would you order from US? What about Visaton? or something that may be available on your continent unless import taxes on some things are high.

Also, the Frugal Horn is pretty amazing. What don't you like about it? cosmetics?
