Wife suggested she does not approve the FE107E BIB style. So although in between the projects, out to garage for minor surgery.
1. replaced the FE107E with El Cheapo Pioneer 4.5". Mounting holes were different and had to extend the radius a bit. 2. restyled the top and bottom. Much improved in appearance, good plastic surgery. "Looks clean" was the comment... Initial listening impression is not much different than FE107E... Bass is there. "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis is sweet. I am definite suffering from papa syndrome, since my DIY speakers all sound good, maybe should have some instruments to measure. BIB indeed extracts much bass from speakers, no doubt. gychang |
