Firstly, I have read the comments by Dave at P-10, & others ... and I DO know that the FR125S is not ideal for a PAWO and that the FE127E is much better.
But having said that, what other drivers have other PAWO constructors had success with? Anyone care to share? cheers, Doug

The Merril drivers (now unobtanum) have been put in them. A few other people have tried others. We tried quite a few -- mostly vintage -- will no success.

I think the 5.5 is still available. I got a couple about 3 weeks ago. I know the 4" drivers are not available and there is no anticipation that they will be in the future. - Pat

Thanks for all replies, what do you think about Hemp Acoustics FR4.5C ? Is it worthy to replace Fostex FE126e ?

Althou the FR4,5c has published specs that indicate that it is very similar to FE127, actual samples were more like half-way between FE126 & FE127. In particulae Vas was larger, indicating it generally needs a bigger box than FE127 so my guess would be no... i haven't been able to play with FR4,5c because, 6 months on, i still have not received my replacement set. dave

I dunno if this reference in this post is accurate or not, but considering the source, it might well be. http://www.audiocircle.com/circles/i...8392#msg418392
