TangBand W3-1364S vs HiVi B3S?

I'm just looking for opinions on which would be best for HT satallite use? I dont hear much about the 1364s.

I have both but haven't used the 1364's yet. Zaphaudio has both in his small driver shootout. He had this to say about the 1364, "I'd rate this at a similar or slightly higher level of performance as the Hi-Vi B3S, but at the price it's not quite as good a value."

From a modelling standpoint the 1364's are made more for a horn or vented enclosure wheras the B3's are best in sealed. The former will extend lower, the latter is much smaller.

I ended up ordering a pair of both. I'll build some test boxes and see which I prefer. The 1364's are $21 right now at PE.

Since you are using these for surrounds you may want to try using the B3's in an open baffle. Although you may loose some low end extension, it will make a big diffuse sound field.

The only problem with that is I plan to wall mount the rear speakers.
