What do you guys think of this driver for FR use?
Audax 6.5 from PE To my untrained eye it looks pretty smooth with less midrange shout than many others that I have seen. It is a little hot in the upper midrange but a little higher up than some of the worst offenders. I also like the Qts of 0.8 as they will be used OB. Current price is about $18 US so they seem like they might be worth a try. I would augment with a little birdie above 10K even though I can't really hear that anymore. It will also have bass augmentation provided by larger OB doggies and a sub. mike |

Notwithstanding the lumpy ride in the most sensitive midrange area, (don't forget, this is spec'd as a bass driver), the sensitivity of less than 88dB through the lower power band will be an issue.
