Default Getting a new user-name by creating a new account - permissible?

I'd like to use a different user name now that I'm not such a n00b anymore. Is it permissible to begin using a different user name than the one I've always used? And it is appropriate to accomplish it by just making a new account here?

Also, this falls under the 'suggestion' heading: The forum should switch to a different color scheme that integrates light gray with the light purple color from the DIYAudio logo (which, believe it or not, it actually different from the light purple in the forum software), instead of just making me drown in purple. Never really cared for it personally, but everything else about this forum is seriously quality, and I like it a lot.

Tell me what name you want and I'll change it on your account directly.

Your username can easily be changed, just let us know what you would like to be named.

While we are in the troubleshoot section, it seems I'm not the only one having trouble posting in this thread.

Major database updates taking place so things are a little laggy.
