Is it correct I can't edit my posts? I've seen other users that can or am I mistaken?

You only have a 15 minute or so window after you post to edit. This is mainly to allow you to correct spelling mistakes or similar. Any more major changes at a later time and you need to contact a mod, but we don't like doing this. It's down to you to get what you want to say right the first time!

In addition to what pinkmouse has said, if you're a very new user, you'll find that you cannot edit at all until you've made a few decent posts.

Ok, thanks. That explains.
