Default Trouble with downloads

It has happened several times, and now it is time to kvetch.

I log in, the reply comes back that says I logged in, and then the vBulletin massage that says I am not logged in. Trying again doesn't work either.

This sucks, uh huh-huh.

That's the most unsafe and unreliable piece of software that I know.
Make a favour to yourself, download Opera here:
http://www.opera.com/download/

Install it, have fun.
Besides being reliable and safe, it's also very fast loading the pages.
You will be addicted, no turning back.

I second the motion for Opera. I've been using it for years with no problems.

I truly love Mozilla Firebird. Small, light and fast. OH and free!

How can you say that it is the most unsafe and unreliable piece of software there is?? Surely, MS has made lots of other POS s/w that is worse. I'm sure of that.

(I don't use it because I like it.........my ISP s/w launches it, and sometimes I get lazy and don't exit out of it into something else.)

Shirley:

Get rid of that bow-wow IE and give Opera a try . . or maybe Mozilla Firebird as suggested. I'm sure there must be settings on your machine regarding which browser is launched after logging on. I don't think it's your ISPs fault.

Bricolo, have you tried Opera?
I used Mozilla and liked it, but Opera is special.
Pages load faster than any other browser I know.

Shirley, when you open another browser it asks you if you want it to become your default web browser.
Say yes and your're done, everything will open with the new browser.
The last step (recommended) is: remove the IE shortcut from the desktop.
Sincerely, if you update your windows/IE regularly from the MS web site you will find out that after two months there's tens of security patches.
Stable?
Safe?
