Exclamation Spam alert

On August 29, I registered on diyAudio.com.

I used a special email address never used before.

As of today I already received 4 spam messages!

You must understand I'm beginning to get suspicious

Is there correlation?

PB

Hi PB,

Nothing like this has ever been reported as far as I know. So I would be very very suprised if it has something to do with diyAudio.

Regards,
Bas

Default control

If you set up an account with any of the popular email providers like Hotmail or Yahoo, you'll get spam no matter what you avoid doing. Try setting up another account with the same provider and don't use it. Wait a week and your mailbox will have lots of offers about making your bigger parts smaller and your smaller parts bigger.

Nope, nothing of that kind. I do have my very own provider and use aliases. Never any problemes with spam. Joining this forum with a new alias and I have a problem.

Might be a coincidence as for the actual name/address-string you have choosen...
May the alias actually have been spammed before and just catch the messages now that you listen?

Sebastian.

that's absolutely not true... I've used my hotmail email for 18 months now and never , really never had any spam... untill I signed up at an online electronics-componet store to get a quote on the BUF03.. .. from that day on I get 3 spam's /day ..

BTW that ugly guy asked >100$ for the BUF03 a piece... idiot
