We had 3 hours of downtime today when our database flaked out due to changes made by our hosting company a few days ago related to backups. The server has been restarted, database appears to be fine, our host is now working out what caused the problem and how to ensure it doesn't cause a problem next time.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
I've been advised by our host that the problem that caused the database overload has now been fixed and won't happen again.
Will this fix the crashes that happen to me only when I'm on this site? I communicated with Kevin KR and he said it has happened to others as well. Thanks much.

Probably not. Can you direct me to a thread discussing that problem so I can look into it?
Sadly, a great portion of my well-being hinges on DiyAudio. When it goes down, I am reminded of how lost I'd be without it. Is there a way to download threads to archive locally. I'd dedicate a hard drive to an archived version of forums. Is this at all possible? - Thank you, Jeffrey Hill (marsupialx)
No, there isn't. But I will be striving to ensure the next time, it's not a 3 hour wait for it to come back up.
