I want to open a new Thread with 6, or so, pic/sketches
I want some description in between each pic location so that each pic is beside it's own description/explanation.
How do I do that?
PS where is the correct place to place this query?

To do that you need first to store your pictures somewhere else, neither your own computer nor the Forum but something like Imageshack, Tiny Pic, etc.
After uploading they will send you the code to post the image somewhere else (such as here).
Sometimes they show 3 or 4 codes, one of them is "to post in Forums" or "direct access"
Then you write here, when needed click the yellow rectangle with mountains which appears above when writing (I see it now) , it will ask you "enter the URL of your image" ,, it places the address here surrounded by [ img ] address [ / img ] labels.
Then you continue writing and adding pictuires as needed.
This is not ättaching" which puts them all together at the end.
Example:
Sunburst Stratocaster:
white stratocaster:
and so on.
Notice that image appears original size because it's a direct link.
And if it's erased from the other site, it disappears here too because it's not stored here.

1/ Click on the gallery tab on the top line of the page.

2/ Click on "My Albums".

3/ Click on create a new album.

4/ Give your album a name (you can also fill the box below it with any details as a reminder to you) and then click create new album. Keep the default privacy setting as no.
5/ That will create a new empty album as shown here.

6/ Click "Upload Photos" You will now see this page with the familiar uploader. Here you can see the first 6 images selected. When you finished click "submit/upload" and wait until the list is processed.

7/ A page appears showing each picture together with additional boxes should you wish to add details (I never do). Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "process". The images will now upload to the album.

8/ You should see the album and the pictures. Those pictures are now uploaded to the site and ready to be used at any time in the future.

Using the pictures.
1/ I would suggest you open two tabs. One for the post you are creating and the other with the gallery open and your album selected.
2/ At the point in your post you want the image to appear, switch to the gallery tab and locate the picture, and then click it to open it. Scroll down and you will see a choice of three "URL's. Do a double click over the URL in the box next to "Linked Medium Image" and copy the URL. Now go to your post and paste the URL where you want the picture to appear. Use the back button of the browser to return to the album and then select another picture to copy the URL from and so on.

And thats it. (You can add to albums at any time if you want to)
I would seriously advise typing a long post (like this) in "notepad" on your PC rather than direct on the forum and copy the URL's into it.

This is a test of the three URL's to see what each looks like. So choose which you prefer to use

Phew !!
Thanks, and I will "write it up" elsewhere.
It for my promised wiring instructions that have been on hold for some months.
I keep seeing the same mistakes, yet many here on the Forum post about connections/interconnections being a two wire affair.
Still we see it getting done wrong by many.
I've just read the "Gword" and B.Putzeys again states "two wire", but I found his explanation too confusing and I knew what he was describing, pity the poor builder that does not know the subject.

Your welcome.
That sounds an interesting topic your contemplating.
Remember you can keep doing a bit at a time without posting anything on the forum just by using the "notepad" method. And you can also preview it just by pasting it into any "reply" box on any open forum topic and just using preview to get it all correct and lined up as you want. Just don't hit "submit". Then copy and paste where you are up to back into notepad to pick up from again.

You don't seem to have any pictures in the gallery. Is it the uploading of pictures that is causing problems ?
(the method above is unchanged, in fact I used it only yesterday to add an image to a thread)
