Default Issues with posting

Posting this for tape echo who is having problems and cannot post:

I find that a problem I've been having has increased: I cannot reply to your thread (in addition to not being able to see or open the majority of images posted to this site). I am also unable to post about this in the "Forum Problems" forum (facepalm). Would you please do me the favor, not a problem if for any reason you are uncomfortable about it, to post the following for me in the "Forum Problems" section? I emailed the admins about this weeks ago and have received no reply and seen no change. Message follows:

Hi, when I attempt to reply to a thread or to post a new thread I get the following error message.

Message
Tape Echo, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
If you have just registered but have not yet replied to the confirmation email we sent you, you may also see this message because you may not have the privileges to view this page until you confirm your email address. Check your spam folder, and try a different email address if you are using a @yahoo email address - they love to block mail from us.

It is the same when attempting to open images. For instance, I can see “Click to open in full size.” as a link and the image name and size as a link; clicking either gives the same error as when I attempt to reply to a thread (or obviously, attempt to begin a thread).

Direct messaging works. I have the same experience when logging on at another computer on the same user network. Thank you for any assistance and thank you for the great forum!

His account shows as "awaiting email confirmation" which suggests he's been sent a link but not activated it.

FWIW, it was a Yahoo address. Have him check there.
