i cannot post in the everything else section, i get a prompt to search first??

That's something you will see when you want to start a new thread on the forum.

Since you can post here I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't be able to post in any of the other forums.

If the problem persists you may want to e-mail one of the moderators.
