search duration

Search took 12.01 seconds.

This is an unusually long search time. More typically I see <500ms.
Is this a symptom of an impending problem?

I hope not! If it happened just after the server came back online after nightly maintenance it was likely due to a bit of disk thrashing that occurs straight after (the forum gets put back up as quickly as possible, while other backup processes continue in the background). Let me know if you continue to have problems. We'll be completely overhauling the search in the near future.

It occurs infrequently.

I was off power yesterday, but on Monday my morning search took 10.7seconds. A search about two hours later (after your overnight maintenance lost my search) it took less than half a second.
