local members

How do you find members close to your area without looking at all profiles ?
thanks

I'm not aware of any way to do that, but it's definitely something we'll have in the near future.

Hi db -

Ya can kinda-sorta find "local" members by doing the following steps -
1) On the top menu bar select "community"
2) Click on "Members List"
3) Click on "Search Members'
4) On the search box that pops up select "Advanced Search"
5) Go to the "location" box and type in your state - or city - or country - etc.

It won't quite get you down to your local postal code (USA) but you will get some hits that you can look into.

If diyAudio was USA only then a postal code search - or city - county search would be easy. Buuuuuuuut diyAudio is a planet earth web site and this will present some problems for the database designer to generate an effective query for.
