Why can't I get page 2 and more in a search?

bad request
0.5ml of Snake Oil for $59

Ok

This example doesn't show the problem. The problem is that I loose the "+" between electronic and concept. This creates a "bad request"
....forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11120&perpage=30&highli ght=electronic concepts&pagenumber=1

Now it shows. This text is copied from the URL field in my browser.
