I use windows and MSN Explorer. Before the big forum change, my favorites would show this forum logo next to the link. It no longer does that. I just get their cute little butterfly. Does the site generate that or does my browser?

A site can specify a specific icon, or if not the browser will supply a generic one.
When the forum was upgraded the icon changed. dave

Ok, thanks but why doesn't my favorites show a new icon? It is handy to help spot the forum.

Not sure if that's the optimal solution, but it works for me.

I wish I knew! Sometimes if I have connecting problems, my browser (Firefox) forgets the Favicon and replaces it with the generic icon.

Yeah, I think that's just the browser or the site server being flaky. It used to happen frequently with one site I visit, sometimes the right favicon would show, sometimes it would actually show one from a different site. I'm using the latest version of Firefox on WinXP and haven't had that problem lately.

I just re-entered it into my favorites and still no Favicon. It was very stable before the website update, so made the assumption it was something related to that change.
