Account under moderation?

I'm just curious how long a new account is under moderation. I found this forum looking for help with a particular sub amp, and I was hoping to try and email one of the members about it. But new accounts don't get email privileges. Thanks in advance. (also, I had no idea where to put this)

We usually look at your first 5 posts before releasing from moderation.
