White Screen Of Death!!

So, am I the only one who has had to use the "refresh" function in IE6 lately, as I try to load subsequent pages in a thread?

I get a blank screen, and Explorer 6 says "done" at the bottom of the page. In every case, hitting "reload" solves the problem.

I have problems too. My IE browser does not open up the main page ( www.diyaudio.com) . It just says 'Done'. The page is blank and 'refresh' does not help. I have to go to diyvideo.com to come to the main page. What gives ?

Clear your cache and it should fix the problem.

I'm getting similar problems with the white screen. Using IE5.


It seems like the problem happens at random. Nothing in particular to note about when, sort of like windows (It crashes when it wants to ).

I did the stupid thing and gave my mac away. I will have to wait for a new G5, when it arrives I am switching back!

i wonder when the g5 will be out there current prossessor is 1.43 dual. Humm i want a g5 now. i havea pb g4 400mhz with 1 gig ram and dvd and 40gig hard drive it never crashes but i would like more power. and dual monitors hehe.

Apple Rules!

The last I heard the G5 will be here in 5 months. It will have a new processor by IBM.

I used to have the same machine that you have and the only time it crashed is when I was running Microsoft software.

Microsoft may suck...

...but I worked in a shop that sold PC Clone, IBM, and Mac products. We made a large portion of our money on APPLE REPAIRS! (Even though we had about ten times more clone PC sales!)

If you're going to sell PC's, Mac is what you want to sell. You make so much cash on repairs it's unreal! And the cult member attitudes of mac users makes sure they keep coming back for more!

Yeah i have a mac but i would never pay any one to fix it as im a tech too. i work in a retail store working on pc's all day. how come pc's are so unstable and mac's arnt. OH I KNOW WHY most users use windows and MAC IS UNIX duh i forgot. ehhe

We've turned off header caching for the site, hopefully this will help.

A note to all those who changed their browser settings to check for a new version of the page every time... you should now change it back to Automatic.

I am still having problems... I've almost worn the silkscreening off my F5 key...

It is possible that your ISP is using a cache that still has a copy of an old page :'( sorry but there is nothing much we can do about that.

That's possible... I guess I'll have to give it a few days and see if the problem goes away.
