Just moved from Windows to a Macbook. Using the Windows setup for quite some time and never had any issue.
Now i want to use Audirvana with OSX 10.8.1. The Exa Driver installed without any issue, but initially i got no sound output. After figuring around i noticed that when using the 8-Channel Driver i have Sound output. Using 2-CH no output ![]() Is this a bug of the driver or a 10.8.1 OS issue ? Also i would like to know if the OSX driver can output native DSD to the DAC ? thx |

Click on the exaSound dashboard icon on the menu (it is located somewhere close to the volume control icon) and select Output Device --> exaSound 2ch.
Around the end of September we will be releasing the next generation drivers, and one of the new features is DSD over PCM for Mac. It will be compatible with Audirvana Plus. Regards, George |

good to know that, really looking forward to the new driver. I found some time today to do further checks. Its devinitly related to the driver and the Audirvana combination. Switching the dashboard has no effect at all.
I tested ITunes which i hate with Puremusic and this runs fine with the two channel driver. If you need a tester let me know. |

I sent an email via the exasound website asking about DSD256 support.
Bunpei, with DSD256 the quantization noise doesn't overlap with the audio allowing simple filtering. Thus I don't see the need to go beyond DSD256. |
