Uh, yeah, that'll turn your amplifier's 0.1 ohm output impedance into a 47 ohm output impedance. But transformers work both ways so your amplifier will see your otherwise 8 ohm speaker load as a 0.017 ohm load.

As much as I love transformers, this definitely isn't something you'd want to use them for. If you're not going to use a proper current source amp, just use a resistor.

Rod Elliot points out transformers introduce non linear distortion. Thats fine in a tube amp, which has so much to begin with, but in a solid state amp you not only add distorsion, you also throw away your damping factor. Low damping can cause further distorsion. Is this an attempt to immitate a tube amp?
If you want Valve sound, get a valve amp.
