Saw this in QST -- to clean up that PCB through-hole mess take a wooden toothpick - sharpen the edge with a diag (or nail cutter), heat with your soldering iron and push the solder through.

That's an interesting tip!
We had a problem with a couple of through-holes being blocked after rework, so we couldn't get the components in afterwards, the board was sapping the heat and the component melted before the solder in the hole would |
