Hi:
I am not exactly sure if this is the correct place to put this but I am sure if not someone will help me find the correct place. I am building a speaker enclosure for a guitar. I want to make it vented and all the programs I have found to help design do not well explain the port vent. How do I determine how big (diameter) the port should be so I can figure how long it should be? Secondly I need to find a manufacturer in the US (better in NJ) that makes pcbs (populated) for some amps I am working on. Is the vendor section a good place to ask for this or is there a better way to find these people? Thanks |

Hi,
The freeware program WinISD from Linearteam will do exactly what you need. Just manually enter the port diameter if it's not in the dropdown box. You can also manually edit the length and see how it affects frequency. Cheers! |
