I don't mind the haggling, as an event production manager I used to do it all the time! .

I just need recommendations for a decent place.

I was thinking more of the Warwick, Stratford or Oxford areas, so other halves have something to do if they come along!

Coventry central is better.

Better motorway connections from all areas.

Few suggestions from googling:

http://www.pub-explorer.com/warwks/p...elbaginton.htm
http://www.pub-explorer.com/warwks/p...lcoleshill.htm
http://www.pub-explorer.com/warwks/p...elnuneaton.htm
http://www.pub-explorer.com/warwks/p...nnkeresley.htm

I might have stayed at the second when I was up at the NEC regularly. It looks familiar.

The Chase looks OK.
Plenty of different rooms and at least you know the costs.

But where IS Nuneaton ?

I really don't know! All of those pubs serve real ales, which is key to evening relaxation. I'd say you're looking in a sensible area now. Not far from London for all you southeners, and not terribly far from the north either!

Will we need some kind of special permission to play loud music? lol

Hi,
maybe "poking fun" as Richie said, but equally the Scottish listeners (and non Scottish that choose to live here) might prefer less travelling and arrange an alternative but more local meet.

That depends on whether you would bring along your sunami-inducing multi-driver speakers (or haven't you finished them yet ?)
