I'm wondering the same thing too. I am curious if the test software used in conjunction with with a USB audio capture/generating unit, similar to the UA-EX1, eBay auction # 170061686171, would form good audio testing system. That USB unit runs about $70 as well.
If anyone has used/uses a similar setup, please describe it and provide some feedback. For me, $70 software and a $70 USB I/O device seems like a reasonable price for an audio measurement and analysis system.
