Belgian, American and Chinese scientist found a compound that could speed up data transfer to many thousand times faster than possible now with DSL and fiber optics. Said material has the capacity to transfer data at a speed of 150Ghz compared with +/- 4Mb ADSL now. It will take some time and (financial) effort however to change existing infrastructure to the new technology which claims to be 37500 times faster than ADSL. (150000/4)

Yeah, it's nice, but it's technology that is applied at the backbone and switch level. It won't mean jack at your house.
The technology for real high transfer already exists- optical fiber- and until they start running that to every home, nothing they do to the infrastructure is going to make much difference to you or me.
Here we are 60 years later and the phone company still can't deliver decent videophone service...
