Hi,

I'm thinking on having a rail going between all my capacitors in my powersupply ( 8 * 10.000 uF caps ) connecting them to "ground", but I don't know what kind of material to use.

Is it ok to use an aluminum rail, or should I choose a different material?

Best regards,
//magnus

OFC bussbars are the material of choice but I don't see why you should overlook aluminium as I have used them and they seem excellent....

Hmmm...

Excuse my inexperience in the field, but what is an OFC bussbar?

Alu is a little problematic in the corrosion department. I would go with Cu. I also went one step further, I am using sheets instead of bars. This gives me lower series inductance (if there is any need for it ...).

OFC is also known as Oxygen Free Copper. To my knowledge corrosion on aluminium can be regarded as minimal. An application of Progold will certainly bring some improvements.
