Radon?

I live in a basement suite and I've had a dosimeter sitting on the floor for no more than two years. The indicator has gone from 0 to 110 mR. Is that cause for concern?

I would be concerned enough to check an authoritative source rather than a DIY Audio hobbyist web forum.

google dental xray dose, background radiation..go to .gov links to see what is typical dosage for you over the course of a year.

Have you started to glow in the dark? That would be a bad thing...
If not, that means it is not too late yet. Seek professional advice. Radon contamination should not be taken lightly.

check to see if the battery is to low and giving a false reading.If the battery is good RUN ....LOL

When the wife and I moved into a below ground suite a few years back, I phoned the government and said that radon was more of an east/prairie concern and the BC coast had such low levels, no one at the health authority was trained how to test for it.... if that's any indication.
(it's a carbon canister kit)

But call to double check anyway.
