X1000 backengineered here
Very nice job, I am flattered.

The X1000 actually has 80 output devices per channel,
not 16, and the input devices (IRF610)are also
cascoded to keep the dissipation down on them.

Hi Audiofreak and Halojoy,

You are absolutely correct, and I did misread the dates.

I am getting old, and as I have said before, it is a good job my hearing isn't deteriorating as fast as my brain.

My excuse is that it was nearly one o'clock in the morning when I posted, and my tired old eyes are not working too well!

You don't think Lord Nelson will make me 'walk the plank' on the Victory, Do you?

Regards,

Cheers,
No wonder I misread the date of the Lord's first post. I later saw it was actually 2 AM (not 1 AM, as I said in my later humble post), when I committed the faux pas.

I was so tired, I couldn't even see my watch properly, but it must show my enthusiasm for the Forum!

Anyway, I was cross with Nelson as he told me in another post that he will be using coupling caps in the 'updates' to the SOZ circuits which will be published soon, the wicked, wicked man!

And with all those whiskers, you have to admit that he does look like a Jolly Jack Tar!

(If I was h_l_j_y, I would probably have said it was all a deliberate ploy to up my postings-count!)

I cannot stand "keel-hauling" though, Frank, it makes such an awful mess of my hair.
Having tried both (several times!), I much prefer to be 'hanged' as it so much more dignified!

Regards,
